Privacy Policy

FloraWhisp ("we," "us," or "our") provides an AI-powered botanical assistant available at florawhisp.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using FloraWhisp, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Messages and conversations: The text you type into FloraWhisp is sent to our servers solely to generate a response. We do not store your conversation history after your session ends.

Photos you upload: Images you attach are processed in your browser (compressed and converted) and then transmitted to Anthropic's API for analysis. Photos are not stored by FloraWhisp on our servers. They are transmitted in-memory and discarded once the response is returned.

Usage data: Our hosting provider, Vercel, may collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. This data is governed by Vercel's Privacy Policy.

We use the information you provide solely to:

• Generate responses to your plant-related questions
• Analyze photos you upload for plant identification and diagnosis
• Maintain the technical operation of the service

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the service.

Anthropic: Your messages and any uploaded images are sent to Anthropic's API (the provider of the Claude AI model) to generate responses. Anthropic processes this data under their own Privacy Policy. Anthropic may use API inputs and outputs in accordance with their terms. We encourage you to review Anthropic's privacy practices before uploading sensitive personal information.

Vercel: FloraWhisp is hosted on Vercel, which may process connection metadata. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.

FloraWhisp does not maintain a database of user conversations or uploaded images. Each session is stateless — once you close or refresh the page, your conversation is gone. We do not retain personally identifiable information on our own servers.

FloraWhisp uses a single local storage entry (fw_consent) to remember that you have acknowledged this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. No tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies are used.

FloraWhisp is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information to us, please contact us so we can delete it.

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws (including GDPR and CCPA) to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because we do not store your conversations or images, there is generally no personal data for us to provide or delete beyond server logs held by Vercel (which are governed by their policy).
